What do socialists actually believe?

There is no single answer. Seven traditions, explained from nothing, and a test that shows which one you already agree with.

Seven scenarios, two minutes. No sign-up, nothing is sent anywhere.

Sourced archive

2,379 sources, collected and categorised

Somebody has already told you that communism killed a hundred million people, that the famine was deliberate, that it has never worked anywhere. This is where the reading is kept: 2,379 articles, studies, documents and recordings across 27 categories, gathered against the claims they answer, with my own notes on 487 of them. Search it, follow the reference, and check it yourself. That last step is the point.

Games

Commie vs Zombies

Novyy Mir, 1987: the last socialist city is still standing, the dead are at the wall, and you are a People’s Defender. It is a first-person shooter that runs in your browser, at games.leftistsolidarity.com. It is free, there is nothing to install, there is no account to make, and there are no ads and no tracking.

Seven guides

They disagree with each other. Here is where.

There is no one socialism, and pretending otherwise is how people end up arguing past each other. Each guide is written for somebody who has read nothing on the subject.

Directory

The people already doing this, near you

Organizations in 147 countries, plus mutual aid, labor, abolitionist and community groups in all 50 US states and Washington DC. Search by country or by name. These are informational starting points, not endorsements or rankings: nobody pays to be on the list and nothing is ordered by who asked.

Who makes this

One person, no company, no advertising

I write the guides, keep the archive, maintain the directory and build the game, on my own, while caring for a newborn. There is no organisation behind this. There are no ads on it, no tracking scripts and no analytics watching you read.

Three things help, in this order

  1. Correct me. If a guide is wrong, a source is misread, or a group in the directory has folded, say so: [email protected]. This is worth more than money and it costs you a minute.
  2. Pass something on. Send one guide, or one archive entry, to the person who needed it. There is no advertising budget here; this is the whole distribution plan.
  3. Chip in, only if you can spare it. It pays for hosting. Nothing on the site is behind it, and nothing ever will be.
